EXTREMELY important teapot post

(work by Gary Rith plus the St Louis Gateway Arch)
OK, down below you have info on the Ithaca Art Trail. There is a huge opening exhibit opening in early October, composed of leading painters and potters in this area, and I wanted to make something slick and new, that I hadn't done before, but could wow the other artists and the crowds too. After thinking for weeks and months, along the lines of the yellow teapot and doggy teapot pictured, but new, I sketched this pencil doodle: I wanted to make a teapot like THAT. And I did! I am soooo excited!!!! It turned out well.
So, I made the body and such, whacked and pushed and shaped the parts while still damp, made a handle like the St Louis arch 'cause it is a COOL tapered in the middle shape (do you know how hard it is to make a handle that tapers in the middle?). And so, there we go. Now I shall make more of them.
I am in the mood lately for things I havn't tried or made before. So I am setting out...
Tunes o' the day later, I have to get to work.
