hippos!

(pots by Gary Rith)
Last week I showed the just made hippo sugar bowl and creamer. Sadly, because it is a very melty glaze, the aperture in the creamer's throat got full of glaze and closed up, so I shall make another. This looks rather terrific though, and now I can add a non-working cute hippo creamer to my collection.

I think it looks terrific, too, Gary. Not everything need have a function?

Yes, I don't think I'd feel obliged to use them. They're far too much fun to just look at!

well, I do have some ivy cuttings that would go nicely in the non-creamer

heehee, if you made mug versions with hippos on them they'd be hippopotamugs, as it stands you've got a hippopotojug and a hippopotopot. Easy on the coffee Lou...

STAR OF STAGE, SCREEN AND RADIO!!!
I did a non-commercial commercial via telephone for the Public Radio station at Indiana University this morning. That's a real flashback to my WWII days when they needed females with decent voices and the ability to read anything aloud 'cause all the boys were off there fighting a war so I became a radio announcer, or, as BBC calls 'em 'newsreader'.

And, if something's worth saying, I suppose it's worth saying twice, but not that. I haven't a clue how that happened, so forgive, please?
