Alice is my pal from the Spirit and Kitsch arts cooperative, and we have filled our house with her stuff. I am sure that people who look around this site can understand why I like her paintings so much. Well, she has sketched Penny here, with a painting in mind....

Penny definitely has a sly grin in that sketch, doesn't she?
She is not an angel. She sometmes teases her brothers and eats turf. Which she sometimes later spews up.
I read somewhere that grass eating in dogs is an attempt at self-medication. If they have an upset tummy, the quickest way to empty it is to eat a bunch of grass.
Sure, our dogs all eat grass all summer long though. Our vet says that dogs need some fruit and veg, and so eat grass. Sometimes it comes up. When I say turf, I mean Penny eats the grass, the roots, the dirt. It seems to be high fiber and her digestive systems work marvelously.
