Back when I was 3 or 4, the Grateful Dead and a couple of friends put together a country-rock band called New Riders of the Purple Sage. The missus just interviewed them for a newspaper article, and the 2 remaining members of the reformed band are wicked friendly and nice. 'Texas' from New Riders of the Purple Sage, filmed 30 some years ago.
